Abstract To investigate the factors affecting wettability of copper mine blasting dust, primary dust was collected from an open-pit and separated into hydrophilic (HLBD) hydrophobic (HBBD) using water flotation method. The physicochemical properties HLBD HBBD were measured compared with each other. included particle size distributions (PSDs), micromorphologies, pore structures, mineral components surface organic carbon functional groups. results show that structure are main its wettability. Specifically, is smaller than HLBD, their respiratory (less 10 µm) accounts for 61.74 vol% 53.00 vol%, respectively. more developed, total volume 1.66 times larger HLBD. identical compositions detected in by X-rays diffraction (XRD); however, component slightly this may be reason poor HBBD.
